Canine Designs is led by a father-and-son team, George and Jacob Freegard—lifelong dog owners who consider their pets part of the family. Their passion for animals and dedication to their well-being is at the heart of everything we do. George and Jacob are committed to providing personalized, one-on-one care for every dog they groom, always ensuring a cage-free, relaxed environment where your pet’s comfort comes first.

Who We are

Jacob has grown up surrounded by dogs his entire life, helping his father care for countless furry companions over the years.
From a young age, he developed a deep love and understanding of animals, which naturally led him to work as both a dog daycare attendant and a groomer. His lifelong experience raising dogs alongside his father has given him a calm, confident approach and a strong sense of what each pet needs to feel safe and comfortable.

George has always had a deep connection with dogs, starting with his very first companion—a golden Labrador named Betsy.
Growing up with a variety of working dogs, George developed a strong understanding of canine behavior, care, and training from a young age. This lifelong love for dogs never faded and has remained a central part of who he is.

His passion eventually led him to take over Canine Designs, purchasing the business from its original owner, Rob. George saw the opportunity not just as a career shift, but as a calling—to build a business centered around his genuine care for animals. With his son Jacob by his side, George has continued to grow Canine Designs into a trusted mobile grooming service, known for its professionalism, compassion, and personalized attention.

For George, every dog is more than a client—they’re a valued member of someone’s family, and he treats them with the same respect and kindness he’s shown his own pets for decades.
